The seconds sustained a third defeat in Group A of the JFC against Bective in Seneschalstown on Friday evening.
The winners held a commanding 2-7 to 0-4 half-time lead but had to withstand a late rally by the team in sky blue in which Michael Sweeney, Ned Kearney, Cian McGrath, Hugh John O'Reilly and Padraig McKeever were prominent.
