The seniors gained some measure of consolation for the recent championship defeat to Walterstown when winning the league encounter between the two sides in Walterstown last Thursday.
Des Lane's charges were 2-5 to 0-3 ahead at the break - Stephen Moran and Wayne McCarthy netted the goals - and any chance the hosts had of mounting a comeback was dashed when Joey Farrelly and Christopher Reynolds were both sent off near the end.
Michael Brennan impressed at midfield for the winners and kicked three second half points with good support coming from Seamus Kenny, Hank Traynor and McCarthy.
