The under 16s sustained their first defeat of the Under 16 Division 1B competition away to Summerhill on Tuesday evening.
The visitors trailed by 0-5 to 0-6 at the break but Summerhill scored the game's only goal in the 38th minute and that proved to be the difference between the sides at the final whistle.
Ben Clarke, Sean Gaffney, Robert Quinn, Niall Coughlan and Dean Curran were best for the team in sky blue who still top the table despite the loss and will now play either Skryne, Summerhill or Dunboyne in a semi-final which is scheduled to take place after the break for the Junior cert examinations.
