This month sees a notable event in the club's history with the
announcement of a Two Year partnership deal between Smith's SuperValu
Navan & Simonstown Gaels.
Smith's SuperValu and Simonstown Gaels will launch a €20,000
fundraiser for the club on Wednesday, May 3rd at 8pm.
Smiths SuperValu Navan has recently won "The SuperValu National
Store of the year award for 2006", and is proud to be involved
with Simonstown Gaels.
Denis Smith, the proprietor, added: "We are delighted to
have signed a partnership deal with the renowned Simonstown Gaels
GAA club. It is great to be able to give back to the local community,
while also helping invest in the future of the club".
The Fundraising with Smith's SuperValu will work as follows:
- On the 3rd of May, you are invited to Simonstown Gaels clubhouse
- for the launch of this Fundraising effort. Don't miss the
launch event.
- At the launch - a Simonstown Gaels personalised loyalty card
will be handed out to each Club member on the night.
- Club members will then be encouraged to shop in Smiths SuperValu
Navan.
- With every shop, loyalty points will be registered on your
Loyalty card - with the points then turning to €€
towards your club.
- An update on the progress versus the €20,000 fundraising
target will appear in store on a regular basis, & will appear
on this website and in each addition of the club newsletter.
The Partnership also involves:
- Jersey Sponsorship of the U-14 and Junior teams.
- A monthly draw in store - where Club Members are in with a
chance to win €100 shopping vouchers.
- Smiths SuperValu Branding on both a pitch hoarding and an
entrance sign.
- Two bag packs in store for Simonstown Gaels juveniles during
year.
All members are encouraged to actively play a role in this very
innovative fundraising effort, & help play a part in scoring
€20,000 towards the club.
The Launch of this fundraiser takes place at 8pm in the Clubhouse
on Wednesday,May 3rd. Please show your support to this initiative.
