Simonstown   0—12  Na Fianna  0--12.
Ben Hoey landed  a two pointer free into a trickly wind at O Mahonys end to give Simonstown a one point lead   0--12 to 0—11 after twenty nine second half minutes.  The Navan men gained possession from resultant  kick-out and played retaining possession until the ball went over side line and then the hooter sounded.  The hooter blast means game is over as ball is out of play. The match officials allowed line ball to be taken and Jamie Queeney fisted over to claim a draw for Na Fianna.
The two Aarons  Farrelly and Chinchilla who surged forward from corner back had Simonstown 0—2 to 0—1 in front after ten minutes.  Padraig McKeever converted from outside the ark to make it 0—4 to 0—3.  All Na Fiannas scores came from close in frees tapped over by Daniel Queeney. Simonstown were dominating  and exerting  pressure on Na Fiannas back  line which yielded frees.  Padraig McKeever and Sean Tobin with two frees each and Eoghan Gough from play stretched the Navan mens lead to five  0—9  to 0—4 as the half time whistle sounded.  Ronan Byrne got a black card for a foul on Eoghan Gough.  Na Fianna would play part of the second half with fourteen men for ten minutes.
A good start to second half saw Daniel Queeney reduce the deficit with three  points (2fs) to leave scoreboard reading 0—9 to 0—7 after six minutes. Eoghan Gough found the target after sixteen minutes to make it 0—10  to 0—8.  Niall Kane rose highest to a dropping ball in Na Fiannas goal mouth but his palmed effort ran along the face of the crossbar. McKeever collected the ball at a very acute angle and hit the side netting. Later Shane McEnery was bearing down on goal and got  the nudge at the right time and his shot just went wide.  Three more wind assisted points from play by  Na Fianna had them leading  0—11 to 0—10 with just four minutes to play. Simonstown won a free 45 metres out, goalkeeper Ben Hoey stepped forward and planted the high between the upright's to put his team ahead  0—12 to 0—11. Simonstown gained possession from kick out and there followed the dramatic ending. Congratulations to Jamie Keane who made his debut at Senior Championship level.
